A Little Reflection on 10 Years of Change

Twenty-five years in business is something I never take for granted. But when I look back at the last ten years in particular, I realize just how much has changed—and how much I have changed along with it.

For so many years, our brick-and-mortar store was at the heart of the business. I loved the people, the conversations, and the personal connection that came with having a shop. Then 2020 happened, and like so many small businesses, we were forced to rethink everything. We closed our store and suddenly our website became our primary way of connecting with you.

There were a lot of emotions that came with that transition. I still miss the personal interaction, but something unexpected happened along the way: I discovered just how much I could learn about running an online business.

The little nerd in me has honestly loved it! I have spent these past years learning about websites, online marketing, customers, technology, and all the moving pieces behind an online business. At the same time, being online has given me something incredibly valuable—the ability to devote more of my energy to what I truly love: creating, developing, and making our products.

And those of you who know me know just how much I love to create.

Business has changed so much since COVID. People simply don't shop the way they used to. The convenience of placing an order from your phone, at lunchtime, late at night, or whenever it fits into your day has become part of our everyday culture.

Looking back, as difficult and messy as those years were, COVID also forced me to reimagine what this business could be.

And here we are.

Still creating. Still learning. Still growing. Still making things by hand in small batches—and still so grateful that you are here with me for the next chapter.

Thank you for being part of these 25 years, and especially for coming along for the ride through these last ten.

With gratitude,
